Boyle County Fiscal Court has appointed Shannon Greene as County Treasurer. Greene brings 24 years of finance experience to the position, including County finance experience while serving as both acting treasurer effective May 1, 2024 and served as Assistant Treasurer under former treasurer Mary Conley.

 

Greene’s term will run through June 30, 2026. Under KRS 68.010, the fiscal court by June 30

every four (4) years, shall appoint a county treasurer for a term of four (4) years. The county

treasurer is the only appointed employee who reports directly to the Fiscal Court.

 

“We are pleased to formally appoint Shannon as Treasurer,” said Finance Chairman Jamey Gay. “Shannon brings a wealth of skills to the position and will ensure continuity and consistency to our financial systems.”

 

“Coming right before budget season, having Shannon accept the position was welcome news,”

said Judge-Executive Trille L. Bottom. “We are confident in Shannon’s abilities and assure the

taxpayers that Shannon will manage every dollar with care and respect.”
