Stephenson is married to Emily and they have three children. Mia, a sophomore, Reed a 5th grader, and Asher a 3rd grader.
Emily Stephenson currently works as a school resource coordinator and dance instructor. Mia is an accomplished dancer who performs ballet and competes in jazz, tap, and hip-hop. They are a sports family and Reed and Asher love to compete at almost every sport. They love the outdoors and love to travel, National Parks are some of their favorite adventures!
When asked why Dustin chose Boyle County, Stephenson said: “Our interest in Boyle County began years ago, as my wife has family in this area who are big Rebel fans and we would visit each year. We loved the community, and Boyle County Schools are some of the most prestigious in the entire state. The academic achievement as well as the statewide stage in athletics opened our eyes, and as a family we decided to pursue this opportunity.
I’m most looking forward to getting to know this great community and working in one of the premiere school districts in the state.”
Stephenson has been the Chief Financial Officer at Raceland-Worthington Independent Schools for the past 9 years. During that time he worked with legislation for parents’ right to choose public school districts via House Bill 563. He also helped oversee a school district that has upgraded every school facility on campus and created some of the nicest school facilities in the state. He has spent the last 9 years building and fostering growth at Raceland Schools, and is ready for a new challenge here at Boyle County Schools.
