Mark Wayne Smith

1951-2019

Mark Wayne Smith, 67, of Stanford, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, June 8 at the Fort Logan Hospital. He was the husband of Pamela Ann (Tankersley) Smith whom he married on July 3, 1981. Mark was born in Lincoln, Kentucky on November 6, 1951, to the late Hurley Thomas and Lena (Manuel) Smith. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his loving wife of 37 years, Pamela Smith; daughter, Brandy Michelle and husband Jonathan Norwood; brother, Jay Walter Smith and wife Mitzi; sister, Sheila Kay Hopkins; nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his cat, Mollie also survive.

In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Dessie (Eaton) Tankersley.

Pallbearers include: Robert Nicholas Jones, Chance and Alex Taylor, Tristen and Jesse Dortch, Treyton, Hayden and Easton Jones.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Arthritis Foundation.

Gravesite services will be held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Crab Orchard Cemetery with Bro. Thad Eubank officiating.
