Travels in the Holy Land
The Friends of the Library begin their 2016 Fall Program Series 7 p.m. Monday with “Travels in the Holy Land.” Neil and Ginny Eklund will share stories about their travel experiences and photographs of the sites they visited while on a group tour to Israel. Third Thursday Book Discussion Group
The library offers a variety of book discussion groups each month, including the Third Thursday Book Discussion Group, which meets 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month.
This group is designed for anyone interested in discussing a wide variety of books in a group setting.

Next week: Baby Lapsit returns
The library will offer a six-week Baby Lapsit program starting 10:30 a.m. Monday. Led by Libby McWhorter, Baby Lapsit focuses on early literacy skills and is designed for infants up to 12 months and their caregivers. During the program, babies sit on their caregivers’ laps and interact with them while enjoying rhyming songs, finger plays and short stories designed with babies in mind.
The Baby Lapsit program will meet 10:30 a.m. Mondays in the Children’s Storytime Room, and run through Oct. 24.
