Men arrested in meth investigation, authorities ask for tips in area

Two men were arrested in Danville Tuesday after a narcotics investigation turned up 20 grams of crystal methamphetamine and several active warrants.
At 8:45 p.m., K-9 Deputy Casey McCoy and Detective Donnie Moses were at 105 Wilderness Road, and “made contact with” Bradley D. Elder, 39, of Junction City and William R. Wethington, 52, of Danville, and found about 20 grams of crystal meth, more than $1,000 cash, digital scales and other paraphernalia.
Elder was charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon; tampering with physical evidence; possession of drug paraphernalia; first-degree trafficking controlled substance, meth; and no motorcycle license.
Wethington was charged with first-degree possession of controlled substance, meth; possession of drug paraphernalia; and first-degree promoting contraband.
Wethington was also found to have eight active warrants.
Deputy Keith Addison assisted in the investigation.
Both men have been lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center with bonds pending.
