Sidney’s Pajama Party 5k Fun Run and Walk
The Kidney Health Alliance of Kentucky is having a Sidney the Kidney 5K Fun Walk and Run pajama party on Saturday, Oct. 1, at Millennium Park in Danville. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the run and walk begin at 9 a.m. Go to www.khaky.org for more information or to pre-register.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top male and female runners and awards will be given in age groups. There will also be a prize awarded to the person with the best or most creative pajamas. The event includes door prizes, a silent auction of gift baskets, a raffle for a 55-inch television, kids’ activities and a free light breakfast after the run/walk for all participants. An Air Evac helicopter will land and be available for viewing.
All funds raised will be be used to support programs and services for kidney disease patients here in Kentucky.
Drive-thru flu-shot clinic Monday
A drive-thru flu-shot clinic will be held Monday, Sept. 26, at the Boyle County Health Department.
From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., people can drive through and get a flu shot without having to get out of their cars.
Most insurances cover flu shots, but if it is not covered, the cost is $25.

Danville-Boyle County Planning and Zoning technical review staff — 9 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 29 at Danville city hall conference room.
Lincoln County Public Library Board of Trustees — beginning Oct. 10 the will board will meet the second Monday of each month at 10 a.m.
