Kevin Lee Terry, 42, of Stanford, Ky., died at his home Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016. He was born Nov. 21, 1973, in Danville, Ky. to Dema “Dee” Terry and Gary E. Terry. He was an auto mechanic and was a former satellite installer for 20 years. He was of Baptist faith, and enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, NASCAR and working on his cars. Also he was a UK sports fan.
Survivors include two children, a son, Garrett Lee Terry and a daughter, Kimberly Roark (Ethan) both of Stanford; a very special friend, Jessica Roark of Stanford; his mother, Dema “Dee” Terry of Stanford, and his father, Gary E. Terry of Stanford; a brother, Patrick Terry (Stephanie) of McKinney, Ky.; a grandfather, Lewis Atwood of Stanford; a grandson, Eli Powell; and two nieces, Aubrey and Shayla Terry. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ruby Lowe and Ray Boyd; and paternal grandparents, Alberta and Elizabeth Bishop Terry.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016, from 5-9 p.m. at Spurlin Funeral Home Stanford. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016, at Spurlin Funeral Home with Jason Coulter officiating.
Casket bearers will be Nick Jones, Earl Terry, Mark Terry, Mike Terry, Scott Maples and Jeremy Maples. Honorary bearers will be, Ramsey Brown, Jack and Betty McCall, Brian Boyd and Randy Boyd. Burial will be in Buffalo Springs Cemetery.
Memorials in lieu of flowers may be given to the American Cancer Society.
