The building was donated to Campbellsville University by Michael and Carol Conover, Harrodsburg residents, on Jan. 1, as an effort to sustain Christian higher education in Mercer County.

McConnell was elected to the position of Senate majority leader in 2014. He was the Republican leader in the 110-113 Congresses.

McConnell has supported Campbellsville University in the past, helping to create the Virginia Ponser Flanagan Technology Training Center in 2000.

Rep. Kim King (R-Harrodsburg, Ky.) of the 55th District, that includes Mercer and Washington counties and part of Jessamine County, will also be in attendance to introduce McConnell.

The Campbellsville University School of Music Steel Band and Church Outreach students will perform for those in attendance as well.

The Conover Education Center is located at 1150 Danville Road, Harrodsburg. Everyone is welcome to attend.
