Four members of the Garden Club of Danville are not just talented gardeners, but also artists who are represented in the current art exhibits at the Community Arts Center. The Contemporary Landscape Exhibit on the first floor is a juried show with entries from many states and Puerto Rico. Upstairs for the Limited Palette Exhibit the local Gathering Artists took up the challenge to create art in any medium from just three colors.
Left to right, Sarah Wiltsee has an acrylic abstract painting in the Contemporary Landscape Exhibit and two portrait oil paintings in the Limited Palette Exhibit. Also for the Limited Palette Exhibit, Geri Trinler did a pastel of Constitution Square, Andrea Perkins did a pastel of mushrooms in her garden, and Donna Elam has two figurative watercolor pieces of a modern day “Gibson Girl” and a “Flower Princess.” The exhibit runs through November 11.
