Two indicted in Boyle for making children live in ‘shed’

A Parksville man and woman have been indicted on charges related to them allegedly having three children live in a shed without running water, electricity or a proper toilet.

Brandi Harmon, 25, and Gregory Wilkerson, 44, both of 1833 Johnson Branch Road in Parksville each face three counts of first-degree criminal abuse for allegedly intentionally placing three minors under the age of 13 in a situation that may cause physical injury.

According to the Boyle County Sheriff’s Office, Wilkerson and Harmon “were found to be living in a ‘shed’ behind the residence with three children” in July.

“Inside the ‘shed’ was found extreme(ly) unfit living conditions, having no running water, no electricity and a bucket containing human feces,” according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

The three children were taken to Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center for treatment of “extreme rashes and (bed bug) bites,” according to the sheriff’s office.

Bail was set at $20,000 each. Boyle County Deputy Sheriff Casey McCoy testified for the grand jury.

Wilkerson and Harmon were both being held in the Boyle County Detention Center on Saturday.

Other indictments

Others indicted by the grand jury on Sept. 26 are:

• Rebekah Horner, 27, 450 Harvey Pike, Harrodsburg: three counts of fourth-degree assault. Bail was set at $2,000. Todd Wren with the Boyle County Detention Center testified.

• Michael Brown, 23, 200 Walker Court, Danville: first-degree unlawful access to a computer. Bail was set at $10,000. Jeff Stith with Kentucky State Police testified.

• Shelli Burton, 23, 80 Swim Road, Clearfield: first-degree promoting contraband; and first-degree wanton endangerment for allegedly creating a substantial danger of death or serious injury to a minor by transferring a controlled substance involving a minor. Bail was set at $10,000. Tracy Neitzel with Northpoint Training Center testified.

• Tyler Chumley, 25, 4505 White Oak Road, Danville: first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine); and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $5,000. Al Isaacs with the Boyle County Sheriff’s Office testified.

• Chad Curtsinger, 39, 104 McClure Dr. Apt. 14, Danville: second-degree escape. Bail was set at $5,000. Philip Dean with the Boyle County Sheriff’s Office testified.

• Jerri Gadd, 25, 720 Candlewood Dr. Apt. 2, Berea: third-degree sodomy for allegedly being an employee of the Department of Corrections and subjecting an inmate to deviate sexual intercourse. Neitzel testified.

• Dewey Graves, 34, 319 Richmond Road Loop 2, Lancaster: receiving stolen property (firearm); and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. Bail was set at $10,000. Steven DeBord with the Danville Police Department testified.

• Timothy Helton, 26, 214 McCalls Mill Road, Lexington: two counts of third-degree burglary. Bail was set at $10,000. Jacob Ruhe with Walmart testified.

• Rebekah Horner, 27, 450 Harvey Pike, Harrodsburg: tampering with physical evidence; first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine); and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $10,000. Jonathan Mullins with the Danville Police Department testified.

• Kathy Huff, 43, 205 Cool Breeze Dr., Nicholasville: two counts of third-degree burglary. Bail was set at $10,000. Ruhe testified.

• Michael Koon, 46, 171 Spring Valley Road, Danville: theft by unlawful taking $500 or more but less than $10,000. Bail was set at $5,000. Lisa Dollins with the Danville Police Department testified.

• Brian Montgomery, 27, 93 Phillips Lane, Junction City: first-degree bail-jumping. Bail was set at $5,000. Kari Lamb testified.

• Christian Persico, 21, 106 JE Woods Dr., Danville: first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine); and violation of an emergency protective order. Bail was set at $5,000. Nathan Brown with the Danville Police Department testified.

• Wanda Roberts, 49, 3850 Ky. 198, Hustonville: theft by unlawful taking $500 or more but less than $10,000. Bail was set at $5,000. Dollins testified.

• Casey Robinson, 27, 110 Doe Run lane, Burgin: second-degree assault. Bail was set at $10,000. Robert Coulter with the Boyle County Detention Center testified.

• Amanda Shewmaker, 36, 344 Lake Ave., Lebanon: first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine); amd possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $5,000. McCoy testified.

• Robert Spurlock, 40, 115 Roberta Dr., Campbellsville: second-degree robbery. Bail was set at $10,000. Clark Logan with the Danville Police Department testified.

• Jerry Stratton, 55, 209 Airport Road, Danville: theft by unlawful taking more than $10,000 but less than $1 million. Bail was set at $10,000. Merle Baldwin with the Junction City Police Department testified. Stratton was also indicted for third-degree assault for allegedly striking a corrections officer. Bail was set at $5,000. Michael Clem with the Boyle County Detention Center testified.

• Timothy Turner, 46, 611 McMillian St., Danville: first-degree possession of a controlled substance (oxycodone); third-degree assault of a police officer; second-degree fleeing or evading police; and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $10,000. McCoy testified.

• Billy Williams, 58, 2808 Wesco Dr., Madisonville: theft by unlawful taking $500 or more but less than $10,000. Bail was set at $5,000. Brandon Record with the Danville Police Department testified.

• Daphnie Woodrum, 36, 89 Harris Creek Spur, Stanford: knowing exploitation of an adult more than $300. Bail was set at $10,000. Stith testified.

• Joel York, 35, 105 Hiestand Farm Road, Campbellsville: second-degree escape. Bail was set at $5,000. Dean testified.
