Peachie Gertrude Stephenson

1914-2016

Peachie Gertrude Stephenson, 102, of Hustonville, passed away Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016. Born August 11, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Thomas T. and Mary Hancock Hafley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Stephenson; son, R. Michael Payton; and grandson, Michael D. Payton.

Peachie is survived by a son, Don (Mary Jo) Payton of Shelbyville; sister, Dorothy Russell of Lexington; two grandchildren, Ange Caspar and Michelle Adams; six great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Hustonville Baptist Church for 65 years. She had worked at Corning for 20 years.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by Bro. John Pennick with burial in Hustonville Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Conner Caspar, Evan Caspar, Cody Adams, Chris Caspar, Billy Randolph and Jeffrey Adams. Visitation is after 11 a.m. Saturday.
