1932-2016

Bobby R. Wilson, 84, formerly of Junction City, Ky. and husband of Dorothy Elizabeth Westerfield Wilson, died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2016, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.

Born Aug. 8, 1932, in Junction City, he was the son of the late Martin Adam and Eva Marie Wilson. Mr. Wilson was a graduate of Forkland High School, was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War, and was a retired maintenance technician for IBM. He was a Kentucky Colonel, a member of the Oleika Shrine Temple and York Rite Bodies in Danville, and a member and past master of Perryville Harvey McGuire Lodge #209.

Survivors other than his wife include a daughter, Beth (Glynn) Beck; three grandchildren, Aaron, Madison, and Zion Beck; two brothers; two sisters; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers; and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, Harrodsburg Road, Lexington, by Dr. Robert G. Baker. Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. Wednesday until the service time at the funeral home.
