Trunk-r-treat

Willow Grove Baptist Church is having a Trunk-r-treat from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29. Soup will also be served inside the church, located at 4306 Stanford Road in Danville.

Celebrate 499th anniversary of the Reformation

In celebration of the 499th anniversary of the Reformation, Our Savior Lutheran Church in Danville will gather together on Sunday, Oct. 30 with an authentic German meal (16 different German recipes) while learning about the many contributors to the Reformation. Come for the special church Divine Service at 9:30 a.m. The free meal starts at 11 a.m. Our Savior Lutheran Church is located at 285 Hill n’ Dale. The Reformation occurred in 1517 when Martin Luther started a movement to reform doctrines and practices of the Church of Rome.

Singing and supper

JUNCTION CITY — God’s Hometown Church, located at the Stith Family Center in Junction City, will be featuring he message in song followed by free meal at 6 p.m. Sunday Oct. 30. The public is invited to enjoy the gospel singing and free chili supper and homemade vegetable soup with sandwiches. Bro Donald Lear, (859) 854-9293.

Fall bazaar

JUNCTION CITY — The Junction CIty United Methodist Church will have a fall bazaar from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29. The church is located at 69 School Street. There will be food, crafts, a bake sale and a silent auction.
