Hallie Mae Black Noel, 72, of Danville, died Oct. 31, 2016. Born, Nov. 14, 1943 in Junction City, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth “Gene” Black and Lillie Mae Hillard Black.
She was a member of First Baptist Church in Junction City. She graduated from Junction City High School, as Salutatorian, Class of 1961. She retired from American Greetings after 40 years of employment there.
She loved flowers, birds, and watching religious programs. Hallie loved her Lord.
She is survived by one son, Ricky Allen (Josie) Noel of Crab Orchard; one daughter, Vicki (Glenn) Wethington of Moreland; and one brother, Kenneth W. (Sue) Black of Charlotte, North Carolina. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Lucas Noel, Shane (Bertha) Noel, Kayla Noel Hoskins, Adam Wethington and Emily Wethington; and five great-grandchildren, Axel Thomas Noel, Brandon Noel, Aubrey Anna Hoskins, Gunner Hoskins, and Elijah Noel.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, 2016 at Junction City First Baptist Church with Rev. Choe Sargent and Rev. Dale Denton officiating. Burial will follow in the Bellevue Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016 at Junction City First Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be deacons of the church, and her grandson, Shane Noel. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobbie Lancaster’s Sunday School class at Junction City First Baptist, her classmates of Junction City High School class of 1961, and her best friend, Charlotte Kurtz Spiering.
