Dear Editor,

I am writing in support of Troy McCowan for election to the Danville Independent School Board.

Troy has eight years of experience in this position and it was my honor and privilege to serve with him. He was always prepared and voted in the best interests of the students.

Troy is a graduate of Danville Schools. He has three children who graduated from Danville High School and two children currently attending Bate Middle School. He has had a life-long desire and focus to ensure a successful education for all Danville students.

Troy is currently a customer service manager at Walmart. He also coached the Bate Middle School track team for 17 years. These job experiences indicate his ability to work with the Danville Schools superintendent, board members, faculty and staff, as well as students.

When asked the question at the school board forum, “What single item would you like to see Danville Schools improve on?” Troy answered, “Improve and increase parent involvement in their children’s education.”
