Republicans shouldn’t run from their party

Dear Editor,

I felt it interesting to learn of the numerous names of highly recognized Democrats, including our commander-in-chief, who are vigorously campaigning for Hillary Clinton while Republicans seem to be running from their candidate.

Recently, swing states have come into play including Wisconsin, home of Paul Ryan who claims he supports the Republican Party. Does he?

One might conclude his lack of support is because of his future plans for the next presidential election. However, it is time for Rand to embrace his party and not himself.

It may be difficult for Rand to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Trump — believe me, I know — but as a Republican he needs to step up for the Republican Party.
