News Release

Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center, in partnership with the Boyle County Sheriff’s Department, City of Danville Police and Fire departments, Boyle County Emergency Medical Services and Danville/Boyle County Emergency Management, will be conducting an exercise involving the scenario of an active shooter in the hospital emergency room at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3. This exercise will test all agencies involved in dealing with this type of an incident.

This threat, as we all are aware, is a real one and it is only a matter of time before some type of incident will occur involving an active shooter.

This will only be an exercise.
