Two adults were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after their truck flipped about noon along Ky. 52, trapping one inside.

“It was tricky to get her out,” said Chris Stratton, chief deputy with the Boyle County Sheriff’s Office. “The fire department did a really good job getting her out.”

An infant was in the car, but was uninjured. The adults, one male and one female, were transported via ambulance to a hospital. Stratton said the child went with them, but not because of injuries.

The trio was heading toward Lancaster when the wreck happened near the Boyle-Garrard county line. Deputies said it appeared the truck dropped off the road before flipping.

The Boyle County Fire Department assisted the sheriff’s office the scene. The highway remained closed for about an hour while crews worked to free the adult and the vehicle was moved.
