The Boyle County Judge Executive Harold McKinney and the office Boyle County Emergency Management have issued a burn ban.
No permits will be issued and no one is allowed to burn anything outside. Violators could be fined more than $250.
The Boyle County Fire Department issued an outside burn ban Thursday afternoon, because of the low humidity and high winds, said Chief Donnie Sexton.
The National Weather Service issued a red flag warning for central Kentucky on Friday morning.
The bans are effective until further notice.
