Casey grand jury indicts 13

STAFF REPORT
A Casey County grand jury indicted the following people on Nov. 14:
• Lakyn N. Pennington, 21, 215 W. Womack Road, Grayson: second-degree escape; second-degree fleeing or evading police; and second-degree being a persistent felony offender. Bail was set at $10,000 cash. Officer S. Garrett with the Liberty Police Department testified.
• Anna L. Scott, 47, 4056 Jonathan Fork Road, Liberty: theft by unlawful taking $500 or more but less than $10,000; third-degree criminal trespassing; third-degree criminal mischief; operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs; driving with no insurance, second or greater offense; and second-degree being a persistent felony offender. Bail was set at $5,000. Casey County Sheriff Jerry Coffman testified.
• Tony W. Brock, 37, 11445 U.S. 127, Hustonville: receiving stolen property (firearm); and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Bail was set at $2,000 cash. J. Walters with the Casey County Sheriff’s Office testified.
• Woodford Sheene Jr., 27, Singleton Drive, Liberty: first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine); and first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (methamphetamine). Bail was set at $5,000 cash. Walters testified.
• Nicholas Lynn, 37, 4401 Ky. 78, Hustonville; and Jerry Lynn, 60, 3389 Reynolds Creek Road, Liberty: second-degree assault. The two allegedly caused serious physical injury to a person on Aug. 11  “by striking him/her several times in the head and face with … fists, hands and a piece of wood.” Bail was set at $25,000 cash each. Walters testified.
• Kelsey L. Patten, 24, 2816 Short Town Road, Middleburg: operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs; first-degree possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine); and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $1,000 cash. Chad Weddle with the Casey County Sheriff’s Office testified.
• Amanda Lay, 37, 17 Old U.S. 127 Loop, Dunnville: first-degree possession of a controlled substance(methamphetamine); possession of drug paraphernalia; operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs; no or expired registration plates; failure to maintain insurance; and possession of marijuana. Bail was set at $1,000. Weddle testified.
• Joshua A. Milby, 29, 175 Country View Court, Liberty: theft by unlawful taking $500 or more but less than $10,000. Bail was set at $5,000. Weddle testified.
• Jamie L. Sharp, 27, 101 Ellison Dr., Liberty: second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. Bail was set at $5,000 10-percent. Lt. R. Smith with the Liberty Police Department testified.
• Amanda S. Wilson, 30, 1531 Clear Branch Road, Liberty: second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. Bail was set at $5,000 10-percent. Smith testified.
• Dakota Richardson, 18, 171 Moxley Road, Liberty: theft by unlawful taking under $500; and third-degree burglary. Bail was set at $5,000 cash. Officer G. Emmerson with the Liberty Police Department testified.
• Joshua McKinley Weddle, 37, 163 Weddle Dr., Liberty: four counts of criminal possession of a forged prescription. Bail was set at $5,000 10-percent. Trooper A. Likens with Kentucky State Police testified.
