GRAVEL SWITCH — It’s time for one of the Forkland Community Center’s great traditions — the annual Christmas dinner on Saturday, Dec. 3. Arriving guests will enjoy the grounds ablaze with holiday lights, and beginning at 6:15 p.m., they will be welcomed into the beautifully decorated main brick building where they can visit the Lincoln Museum, purchase fancy holiday baked goods and unique gifts in the Christmas gift area and the Forkland Gift Shop, and mingle with friends and family while enjoying Christmas punch.
At 7 p.m., the guests will be escorted into the gymnasium, specially decorated for a “Country Family Christmas,” where young Forklanders will serve a delicious traditional holiday dinner, prepared from scratch by talented Forkland cooks. The menu will feature turkey, ham, corn pudding, sweetpotato casserole, baked oysters, green beans, cranberry salad and jam cake. Young Christmas carolers will entertain during the meal.
