Hometown Christmas comes to Perryville Saturday
PERRYVILLE — The City of Perryville will be celebrating a Hometown Christmas from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3. A spaghetti dinner will be served from 5-8 p.m. at Perryville Christian Church with entertainment by Cabin Still. A Christmas parade begins at 6:30 p.m. Pictures with Santa will be available at Bluegrass Community Bank following the parade and at 7 p.m. there will be a Perryville Christmas Pilgrimage and lighting of the city Christmas Tree followed by a reception at the Perryville Community Center. The event is sponsored by The City of Perryville, The Perryville Fire Department, The Perryville Ministerial Association, Farmers National Bank and Main Street Perryville.

Masonic lodge breakfast
Danville’s Franklin Masonic Lodge will have a country breakfast 7-10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at the lodge hall, 400 N. Fourth St. The menu includes pork tenderloin, country ham, sausage, bacon, pancakes, eggs, potatoes, biscuits, gravy, coffee, orange juice and pastries. Everyone is welcome.
Blood drive at Boyle County library
A Kentucky Blood Center blood drive will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, in the community room at the Boyle County Public Library.
Blood donors must be at least 17 years old or 16 with parental consent; weigh at least 110 pounds; be in general good health; show a photo I.D.; and meet additional requirements.
Donors who are 16 must have a signed parental permission slip, which can be found at kybloodcenter.org.
