Edgar Smock, Jr., 66, of Danville, passed away Tuesday. He was born in Boyle County to the late Edgar Lee and Louise Hogue Smock.

Edgar is survived by his wife, Sue Wright Smock. Also surviving is a son, Neal Smock; two step-sons, Gary Allen Gammon Jr. (Tammy) and Troy Gammon (Teresa); two sisters, Becky Smock Townsend (Mike) and Donna Farris (Ron); eight grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Edith Townsend and Robin Short; maternal grandparents and paternal grandparents.

Funeral services 11 a.m. Monday at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Pastor Donald Lear officiating. Burial in Danville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. www.prestonpruitt.com
