Thanks to those who made Harrodsburg homes tour and tea room a success

Dear Editor,
The 25th Annual Harrodsburg Historical Society Christmas Homes Tour and Tea Room is now history. What a day we had on Saturday. The weather was great and the crowds were abundant. The property owners who opened their hearts and homes made this all possible. We are so grateful for their contribution and without them, there would be NO tour. A thank you seems so simple, but it is so sincere.
The many volunteers who worked in so many areas too numerous to mention — from senior citizens to teenagers — kept the Tea Room and Tour moving. Local Boy Scout Troop 119 was especially helpful directing traffic and helping with car parking at one of our properties and two other teens from Boyle County lent a hand with that at another property.
And there is much appreciation for our advertising patrons and patrons of the Harrodsburg Historical Society. We also would be remiss if we did not thank Bobbie Curd and Brenda Edwards of The Advocate-Messenger for the publicity provided by this newspaper and the wonderful articles they wrote. We knew by the comments from participants that they learned of the tour through the articles in the paper.
Thank you to all and we want to remind readers to put the first Saturday of December on their new calendars of the New Year for the 26th tour and the Friday before also, as the Tea Room is open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. We look forward to seeing you next Dec. 1-2, 2017. Have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
