BE KSD buildingsA wintery scene shows the campus at Kentucky School for the Deaf covered with layer of snow. An automobile parked on the street appears to be a 1940 model. The photographer is not known.

 

AM KY State Hosp Christmas2Charles A. Thomas, a long-time photographer for The Advocate-Messenger, took photos of Christmas and other events in Boyle County. Featured are two of his Christmas photographs at Kentucky State Hospital. The date is not available. A traditional Christmas tree is being admired by hospital officials and a large group of nurses in a hallway. Danville Practical of Nursing held classes at the hospital. The hospital was open from 1946 until it closed in 1977.
