Wayne A. Yocum

1944-2016

Wayne A. Yocum, 72, of Stanford, Ky., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. Born July 24, 1944 in Danville to Anna Mae Warmoth of Stanford, Ky. and the late Floyd Yocum, he was a retired employee of the Lincoln County Road Department and a member of Stanford Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Walls Yocum of Stanford; two sons, Randall Wayne Yocum (Paula) of Crab Orchard, Ky., and Ronnie Yocum (Carla) of Stanford; four grandchildren, Heather, Kelly, Megan, and Aimee; one great-grandchild, Owen; and was expecting his second great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his father.

A one day service has been scheduled for Friday, Dec. 30, 2016, at Spurlin Funeral Home Chapel, Stanford. Visitation will be from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. with funeral service beginning at 2 p.m. with Reverend Rick Naylor officiating.

Casket bearers will be Jim Bob Collett, Larry Burchett, Danny Lynn, Ronnie Walls, Russell Brown, and Gary Padgett. Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford.
