Freeda L. Lyons

1926-2017

Freeda L. Lyons, 90, of Danville, passed away Sunday. She was born on July 15, 1926 to the late Richard and Iola Luck. Freeda was preceded in death by her husband, James Lyons, Sr.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Perryville Methodist Church.

Surviving are two sons, James Lyons, Jr. (Gay) and Larry Lyons, both of Danville; a son-in-law, James Jett of Michigan; six grandchildren, Richie Lyons, Kristi Wyatt, Randy Jett, Rana Jett, Kimberly Hughes and Nick Lyons; 18 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Freeda was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sharon Jett; two brothers, Kenneth and Bill Luck; a sister, Geneva Miller; and a grandson, Jimmie Lyons.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2017 at Hillcrest Cemetery in Perryville with Bro. Doug Lester officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home. www.prestonpruitt.com
