Hours and prices have changed for the Bunny Davis fitness center run by Danville-Boyle County Parks and Recreation.
“We are at a situation with the number of opportunities people have in this community that we need just one fee across the board of $15 a month,” Parks and Rec Director John Drake said.
The monthly fee will not require an enrollment fee or a contract. Drake said a “buddy pass” will be offered that will allow members to bring a guest with them during their first month.
The price change was announced at the Parks and Recreation board meeting Wednesday, along with changes to the fitness center’s hours of operation. The new hours of operation are: 1-5 p.m. Sundays; 6 a.m.-8 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays; 6 a.m.-3 p.m. Fridays; and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays.
Drake said the fitness center still offers dance classes, tennis lessons, karate classes, fitness classes along with racquetball and a weight room. The center is located at 110 Man O War Dr. in Danville.
