1928-2017
Virginia Helen Sinkhorn Kondik, 88, of Junction City, died Friday, Jan. 7, 2017. Born Feb. 24, 1928 in Boyle County, she was the daughter of the late Hubert and Alice Honaker Sinkhorn.
Helen was a member of Junction City First Christian Church. She was the widow of Robert Kondik and was also predeceased by two daughters, Theresa Yvonne Kondik and Mary Ann Farris; a sister, Jeannette Wade; and two brothers, Ron Sinkhorn and Leo Sinkhorn.
Helen is survived by two sons, Robert Frank Kondik of Junction City and Michael Leslie (Suzannah) Kondik of Danville; a sister, Louellen (Frank) Simpson of Junction City; and two brothers, Carl Sinkhorn of Indianapolis and Don (Betty) Sinkhorn of Danville; three grandchildren, Kathryn “Katy” Neyhouse, Matthew “Red” Kondik, and Richard “Thumper” Farris; five great-grandchildren, Cody M. Kondik, Emma L. Kondik, McKenzy C. Neyhouse, Molly J. Neyhouse and Persayus B. Farris.
A service will be 12 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017, at Stith Funeral Home, Junction City. Rev. Quentin Scholtz will officiate. Burial will be in the Parksville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Richard Farris, Matthew Kondik, James Neyhouse, Leo Sinkhorn, Ricky Sinkhorn, Brian Sinkhorn and Randy Scholtz.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. – noon, Thursday prior to the service. Memorial donations are suggested to St. Judes Children’s Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee. An online guestbook is available at www.stithfuneralhome.net.
