James D. Jones

1953-2017

James D. Jones, 63, of Moreland, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017. Born Sept. 6, 1953, in Boyle County, he was the son of the late James Freeman and Lillian Russell Jones.

James was a retired auto parts store manager in Danville and faithfully attended New Hope Baptist Church.

He is survived by his fiancé, Eva Smock Rhodus; a son, James D. “Jimmy” (Emily) Jones Jr. of Muncie, Indiana; a stepson, Lennie (Glenda) Westerfield of Louisville; a stepdaughter, Jennifer (Joe) Westerfield Sears of Junction City; six grandchildren, who he was proud of and loved dearly, Alanah Grace and Olivia Rose Jones, Carleigh Ray Westerfield, Emily Hall, and Chasity and Chaz Goodpaster.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at W.L. Pruitt Funeral Home by Bros. David Fralix and Dale Denton. Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. on Saturday.
