Pets of the Week, Feb. 14

Photographs are courtesy of Ronnie Logue. Our featured pets for this week are Tiger and Butch.

Tiger is a darling 10-month-old orange tabby. This young fellow is not only handsome; he also has loads of personality. Tiger seems to think he’s a puppy and will follow you around and is happy to be the center of attention. We don’t know much about Tiger’s background, but with his outgoing nature and his ability to get along with all people and other cats, he’s sure to have a great future with his new family.

Butch is a sweet 7-month-old mixed breed dog. He may be part Boxer and he has a very intelligent look in his eye. Butch has a red and white coat with some light brindle markings. He is quite a flashy fellow and the big patch over his right eye really makes him stand out. Butch is a happy dog that loves attention and play time. He’d make a great jogging buddy or maybe train him to catch the Frisbee. Butch has all the potential that an adopter could ask for, but most of all he just wants to be your forever friend.

PetSmart Charities is sponsoring a National Adoption Event this weekend. The Danville-Boyle County Humane Society will be participating at our adoption center at the Brannon Crossing PetSmart on U.S. 27 just north of Nicholasville. We will have many of our beautiful kittens, puppies, cats and dogs at the store on Saturday from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday 12-5 p.m. If you are interested in adding a new pet to your home, this will be a wonderful opportunity to find your perfect match. Celebrate Valentine’s Day by adding a sweet feline or canine addition to your family!

Low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter surgery is available for pet owners with low and fixed incomes. Call our Happy Paws Clinic today at (859) 691-1137 for an appointment. Please help control pet over-population by having your pet spayed or neutered.
