Pets of the Week, Feb. 28

Photographs are courtesy of Ronnie Logue. Our featured pets for this week are Angel and Wayne.
Angel is a pretty all white kitty that is probably 5 or 6 years old. She was a friendly stray that was brought to the shelter by a concerned citizen. Angel is not only attractive but she is also a very sweet girl. She likes to be petted and she has a playful side to her personality. Angel is ready to come to your home and provides lot of companionship and love!
Wayne is a cute 7-year-old Basset Hound mix. His head looks like very much Beagle, but his body looks just like a small version of a Basset Hound. Wayne’s shorty legs and long body give him a cute waddle when he walks and he just puts a smile on your face. Wayne is a pretty quiet boy and doesn’t seem to have the hound voice. Come and meet this sweet boy and see if you’d like him to part of your family.
Come and join us for our next DBCHS obedience class this Saturday at 12:30 p.m. The class is held inside the service department at the Stuart Powell Ford Dealership on the U.S. 127 Danville Bypass. The class is free for those who have adopted from a shelter or rescue. Others are welcome to join in for a small donation to the humane society. We’d like to give a BIG thank you to our friends at Stuart Powell Ford for donating the indoor space for our class each month. If you would like to attend please pre-register for the class by emailing dbchs@bellsouth.net or you may call the Humane Society at (859) 238-1117. Space is limited so please sign up by Friday at noon. We hope to see you on Saturday!
Low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter surgery is available for pet owners with low and fixed incomes. Call our Happy Paws Clinic today at (859) 691-1137 for an appointment. Please help control pet over-population by having your pet spayed or neutered.
