Marie Shearer Whitehouse

1938-2017

Marie Shearer Whitehouse, 79, of Danville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Omer Shearer Sr. and Effie Mae Harp.

Survivors include one daughter, Mona Louise Hartman; and one son, Bradley “O” Whitehouse; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Owen Whitehouse, and her son, Stuart Wayne Whitehouse, and in addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Cecil Shearer, Robert Shearer, Bill Shearer, John Shearer, Richard Shearer, and Omer Shearer Jr.; and four sisters, Mae Camel, Christine Rutledge, Flora Dailey, and Ethel Adams.

Funeral services 10 a.m. Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Chute. Burial in Highland Memory Garden in Mt. Washington, Kentucky.

Visitation  is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2017 fat the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be James Whitehouse, Michael Parker, Dale Moore, Mike Hartman, Bobby Hooper, and Michael Infield.
