In celebration of the Barbie doll’s 57th birthday on Thursday, McDowell Place of Danville displayed a collection of more than 80 Barbie and Ken dolls for residents to enjoy. The dolls were brought in by Bruce Chute, pastor of Third Street Methodist Church and  occasionally plays piano during residents’ lunch times. The dolls actually belong to Chute’s daughter, Rhoda Cooper, formerly of Danville, who now lives in Virginia.
