COMEDY CARAVAN
News release
Comedy Caravan returns to Danville Thursday night at Mallard’s restaurant.
Tom Sobel, VP of Comedy Carvan, says the headliner — Dennis Piper — comes from a family of comedians. “Like his brother, Jeffrey Jena, Dennis has been performing on the Caravan for three plus decades,” Sobel said. “Dennis’ irreverent point of view will provide the Danville area comedy fans with fresh jokes and a lot of laughs.”
Nashville’s Dusty Slay will fill the middle role.
“Young, smart, clean and clever, Dusty provides the perfect foil for Dennis,” Sobel said.
Sobel says at Piper’s request, Cincinnatti’s Rob Wilfong will emcee. A former addict, Wilfong spends much of his time on stage “preaching the gospel of recovery,” Sobel says, from his unique, up-front view.
“His high energy antics complete a wonderful show.”
The show will be 8 p.m. Thursday at Mallard’s restaurant. For tickets, call (859) 936-8103.
