Paint Lick wins Governor’s Cup

The Paint Lick Elementary Academic Team became the 89th District Governor’s Cup Champions on February 12. Paint Lick Elementary won first place in 4 out of 5 written assessment areas. Ella Srsic took first place in both language arts and social studies. Vivianna Weaver placed first in math and third in science.  Elise Culross placed first in arts and humanities.  Sydney Putnam placed third in math and fourth in science. Kaden Fain placed fourth in social studies. Christian Fayne placed second in the composition competition that was held earlier in the week. The Quick Recall team and the Future Problem Solving team both placed second in the competition. All of these winners will be competing in the regional competition with 14 other schools on March 4 at Stanford Elementary School.
