Constituents to hold ‘town hall’ on Friday

A group of local residents will gather for a “constituent town hall on health care and our economy” at the Community Arts Center in Danville at 5 p.m. Friday.

The gathering is being held to voice concerns to Sen. Mitch McConnell, but McConnell is not scheduled to be in attendance. The group says phone calls and emails requesting a public meeting with the senator went unanswered.

• The correct phone number to call and order tickets for the Danville Rotary International Dinner is (859) 516-1434 (Rotary President Allan Crain). The incorrect number was submitted with the release.

The dinner will be  Saturday, March 18, at Centre College’s Chowan Building, 820 W. Perryville St., Danville. Cocktails will be served at 6 p.m. and dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Tickets are $50, and support Rotary’s fundraising for the Danville-Boyle County Senior Center’s refurbishment of its community room. After the project is completed, the room will be available to all non-profit organizations in the county.
