Our featured pets this week are Angelina and Marley.

Angelina

Angelina is a gorgeous 1-year-old tabby with white markings. When you meet her you will immediately be captured by her beautiful green eyes. Angelina was a rescued stray. Her owner took good care of her and got her spayed, but the dog in the home just couldn’t get along with the new kitty so she was brought to us to find a new home. Angelina will make a wonderful companion if you choose to give her a second chance!

Marley is a darling medium-sized Beagle mix. He has a sweet and loving personality and plays well with the other pups. Marley is energetic and would do well with a family that has time to give him plenty of exercise. Marley would love walks in the park or fetch in the backyard. Come for a visit with this handsome boy and see if he’s a great fit for your family!

Please continue to donate your gently worn used or new shoes to the humane society for our Shoes for Paws fundraiser. We have extended our shoe collection through the month of April. We will be able raise even more money to help care for the DBCHS animals and the shoes donated shoes will be going to people in need in developing nations.

Besides the humane society there are shoe collection boxes at Farmers National Bank, Fort Knox Federal Credit Union, Chase Bank, Ephraim McDowell Wellness Center, Workout Anytime, Danville Bike and Fitness and Maple Tree Gallery.

Our next DBCHS obedience class is this Saturday at 12:30 p.m. The class is held inside the service department at the Stuart Powell Ford Dealership on the U.S. 127 Danville Bypass. The class is free for those who have adopted from a shelter or rescue. Others are welcome to join in for a small donation to the humane society. Please pre-register for the class by emailing dbchs@bellsouth.net or you may call the humane society at (859) 238-1117. Space is limited so please sign up by Friday at noon.

Low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter surgery is available for pet owners with low and fixed incomes. Call our Happy Paws Clinic today at (859) 691-1137 for an appointment. Please help control pet over-population by having your pet spayed or neutered.
