Campbell retires

The staff of the Boyle County Attorney’s Office held a celebration in honor or retiring county attorney, Richard Campbell Friday afternoon at the Boyle County Courthouse. Many well-wishers stopped by to congratulation Campbell on his retirement after 40 years of public service, with the past 14 years as county attorney. Above, Tony Wilder presented Campbell with a book as a retirement gift.

The personalized cake featured a likeness of Campbell’s Pelican Fountain Pen with brown ink that he was well-known for using when making corrections on letters and other documents. Campbell said of his fountain pen, “That was my response to bureaucracy years ago.”
