Bobby J. “Buzzy” Vaught

1933-2017

Bobby J. “Buzzy” Vaught, 83, of Danville, passed away Wednesday at his home. Surviving is his wife, Marie Regis Vaught.

Buzzy was born on November 11, 1933 to the late Henry and Bertha Vaught. Buzzy served the country in the Navy and Kentucky National Guard. He was a long time employee of Jessland Lanes and then Danville Bowlarama. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, The Kentucky Wildcats, and horse racing.

One of his favorite places to be was outside in the sun gardening. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was treasured by all and will be greatly missed.

Surviving are three sons, Roby Vaught (Lorrie) of New Mexico, James Vaught (Maria) of Virginia, and Billy Vaught of Danville; two daughters, Pamela Vaught of Danville and Janeen Vaught of Danville; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; and one brother, Jack Vaught of Danville.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Bryan and Stephen Vaught, a brother, William Vaught and a sister, Henrietta Webb.

Funeral services 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Preston Pruitt Spurlin Funeral Home with Father Alan Carter officiating. Burial in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, April 3, 2017 from 5-8 p.m.
