Henry Lee Nichols Sims

1954-2017

Henry Lee Nichols Sims, 62, husband of Janice Baker Sims, died Saturday. Born July 6, 1954, in Harrodsburg, he was the son of the late J. Elmer Sr. and Boone (Nichols) Sims.

He was a Fireman for Harrodsburg Fire Department, lifetime member of the Mercer Co. Fire Dept., and dispatcher for the Harrodsburg Police Department.

Other survivors: one daughter, Alice Boone (Kenny) Griffin; three grandchildren, Christopher, Austin and Allison.

Funeral 2 pm Wednesday, April 5, 2017, Ransdell Funeral Chapel by Pastor Phil Yates. Visitation 5-PM Tuesday.

Members of Harrodsburg and Mercer County Fire Departments will serve as Pallbearers. A Fireman’s Burial will follow at the Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg.

Memorial donations are suggested to the Harrodsburg and Mercer county Fire Departments.
