Taste of Danville event
Wilderness Trail Distillery is hosting “A Taste of Danville” event from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 22 at the distillery located at 4095 Lebanon Road.
There will be $2 and $4 sample portions offered by Brothers BBQ, Melton’s Great American Deli, NuBlend Smoothie Bar, Plank on Main, Mallard’s, Sweets by Cindy, Sandy’s Surprises Sweets and Catering, Cue, and Jane Barleycorn’s Bar. In addition, music will be provided by the Jeff Barnes Trio.
Golf scramble to benefit officers foundation
Northpoint Training Center is having a benefit golf scramble for the Correctional Peace Officers Foundation, on Saturday, May 13 at Old Bridge Golf Club, 1 Old Bridge Road in Danville.
A shotgun start begins at 9 a.m. Cost is $50 per person and includes greens fee, 2-person cart and lunch. In addition to the scramble, there will be first and second-place gift certificate prizes, closest to the hole prize, and merchandise raffle, all to benefit the foundation.

Training for non-profit organizations
The Danville-Boyle County Economic Development Partnership is hosting a training event for all non-profit board members and staff beginning at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 26 at the Community Arts Center. In an effort to empower nonprofits and strengthen the community the EDP is bringing in Danielle Clore, with the Kentucky Non-Profit Network, to lead the training.
