Dear Editor,

I am sorely disappointed with Danville’s efforts at rebuilding Weisiger park. It is a tale of unmet promises.

They promised a 6-month project; it has been under construction for 18 months with no end in sight. 

They promised a fountain; they delivered a bird bath. 

They promised park benches; they delivered none. 

They promised a beautiful park; they delivered a perpetual construction zone. 

I still have hope that the park will meet its promises, but based on the past, I fear that it is a futile hope.
