Our featured pets for this week are Mojo and Keith.

Mojo

Mojo is a striking 5-year-old buff colored tabby. He was brought to the humane society because his owner had accumulated too many kitties and she had to downsize. Mojo has adapted very quickly to his new surroundings. He is very friendly and outgoing. Mojo is living in one of our kitty condos with several other adult cats and he gets along great. All Mojo needs is to be given another chance at his forever home!

Keith is a precious 4-month-old shepherd mix puppy. He’s a happy go lucky, playful fellow ready to start the rest of his life with a loving family. Keith is a pretty black and tan in color with a fluffy baby coat. He will mature into an attractive adult dog and he’s just the right age to start his training so he will reach his full potential. If you choose Keith for adoption you are sure to have a loyal canine companion for life!

This is National Volunteer Week and the perfect time to honor our wonderful volunteers at the DBCHS. We are very lucky to have so many dedicated people willing to donate their time and talents to help the DBCHS carry out its mission.  It takes many volunteer hours to run our Happy Paws Spay/Neuter Clinic, our PetSmart adoption program and the Mutts With Manners training program. We also have volunteers who help out at the humane society by walking dogs, exercising the cats, assisting with office work and special events. To all our DBCHS volunteers we extend our heartfelt gratitude. If you are interested in becoming a DBCHS volunteer you can email us at dbchs@bellsouth.net or call (859) 238-1117 for more information.

Low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter surgery is available for pet owners with low and fixed incomes. Call our Happy Paws Clinic today at (859) 691-1137 for an appointment.  Please help control pet over-population by having your pet spayed or neutered.
