A Boyle County grand jury indicted the following people on April 18:

• Jeremiah Brock, 37, 116 East Broadway, Danville: criminal attempt to commit theft by deception between $500 and $10,000; giving officer false name or address; possession of drug paraphernalia. • Robert Griffin, 30, 108 Acres Drive, Danville: unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. Bail was set at $2,000. Paul Megilligan of the DPD testified.

• Jeffery Alcorn, 34, 301 Hill-n-Dale Drive, Danville: first-degree trafficking in controlled substance, methamphetamine; first-degree promoting contraband when he introduced dangerous contraband into the Boyle County Detention Center. Bail was set at $10,000. Keith Addison with the Boyle County Sheriff’s Office testified.

• Carl Bartleson, 44, 1404 West Walnut St., Danville: first-degree trafficking a controlled substance, heroin, second or more offense; three counts first-degree wanton endangerment by trafficking in a controlled substance in the presence of a child; possession of drug paraphernalia. • Magdalena Bielava, 40, 2134 Stirrup Lane, Wheaton, Illinois: first-degree possession of controlled substance, fentanyl; possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $5,000. Philip Dean with the BCSO testified.
