Faith leaders conference to be held

The Addiction Crisis in Central Kentucky: Information, Comfort, and Support for Faith Leaders conference will be held from 7:45-1:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

The event requires preregistration, which is free, by Friday. Breakfast is included. Register by emailing Kathy Miles at kathy.miles@centre.edu.

It will be held at Centenary United Methodist in Danville and offers individuals a chance to learn about substance abuse disorders and how faith communities can respond to the changing face of addiction and recovery. Leave with new knowledge, resources, and hope for the future of God’s work in challenging times.

Correction

The address for the Danville-Boyle County Chamber of Commerce is 105 East Walnut Street Danville, KY 40422. It was incorrect in Wednesday’s article about the Chamber Steel Challenge.

ABC Sale planned

Trinity Episcopal Church is having its annual ABC Sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 13 at the church, 320 West Main St. The sale boasts of “beautiful clutter” and will feature Barbara’s Attic of fine dishes, furniture, antiques and jewelry. Proceeds from the ABC Sale will be benefit Trinity Episcopal Church and the Isaiah House treatment center.

Cedar Creek plans annual banquet

STANFORD — Cedar Creek Quail Club will hold its annual banquet on May 13 at the Cedar Creek Clubhouse, located six miles east of Stanford on Ky. 150. Doors open at 5 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6 p.m. The meal will consist of quail, chicken, vegetables, drinks and desserts.

The banquet is open to the public and costs $10 per person. Children under age 5 can eat free. Tickets are available at the door. There will also be door prizes, silent and live auctions and raffle tickets.
