Art-full Affair is May 19-20 

The Art-full Affair, a benefit offered by the Arts Commission of Danville/Boyle County to raise money for its arts scholarships programs, will be May 19-20 at Pioneer Playhouse. To get tickets, call Mimi Becker at (859) 691-0316. 

Chamber offers Google page workshop May 12

Have you ever wondered what the big deal is about a Google page? Why is it important to your business? Would you like to learn the steps to build a great Google page?  The Danville-Boyle County Chamber of Commerce has a workshop for you.

The workshop will be Friday, May 12, at 9 a.m. in the McKinney Conference Center at Constitution Square Park.

The “How to Build A Killer Google Page” workshop with RevLocal’s Digital Marketing Consultant Holly Lewis is free to Chamber members and potential members.

McDowell Wellness Center offering Well Kids Camp

McDowell Wellness Center is offering a Well Kids Camp for children in grades kindergarten through fifth, beginning June 5. Campers will participate in a variety of activities including chemistry projects, crafts, games, swimming, gym workouts, cooking and nutritional instruction, free movie Wednesday and much more.

Participants can attend Monday through Friday and can be dropped off between 7:45 and 9 a.m. and must be picked up by 5 p.m. Campers can attend for just a week or the entire summer through August 9.

The cost is $70 per child each week. A $5 discount will be offered for additional children in the same family. A 15 percent discount will be offered to campers who attend the whole summer and pay up front. Space is limited to 40 campers.
