Our featured pets for this week are Sandy and Brandon.

Sandy

Sandy is a gorgeous 1-year-old calico cat. Apparently, her owner’s landlord did not allow pets and Sandy was brought to the humane society to find a new home. Sandy is a sweet and friendly kitty with an adventurous personality. Sandy likes to engage with people and a game of chase the mouse toy is right up her alley. With her unique good looks and fun nature, Sandy will make a delightful companion for her new owner.

Brandon is a handsome 4 ½-month-old mixed breed puppy. He will probably be a large dog when full grown as he appears to be part shepherd and part lab. When you meet Brandon you will first notice his wonderful amber-colored eyes and then realize he has a charming disposition. Brandon is a sweet boy that was part of an unwanted litter. Several of his siblings have been adopted and Brandon hopes to find his perfect home very soon.

Brandon

May 7-13 is National Pet Week. The first full week in May is dedicated to celebrating the unique and fun traits that make our pets so special to us. Pets come in many sizes and shapes and encompass many species.  Whether they serve as companion, protector, comedian or confidant they enrich our lives every day and ask for little in return. So reflect this week on all that your pet means to you and be certain to provide your best friend with all that he needs for a happy and healthy life every week of the year.

Low-cost, high-quality spay/neuter surgery is available for pet owners with low and fixed incomes.  Call our Happy Paws Clinic today at (859) 691-1137 for an appointment. Please help control pet over-population by having your pet spayed or neutered.
