Ephraim McDowell Health held an open house to introduce the community to its new Women’s Breast & Health Center Thursday evening.
The center offers a new approach to the early detection of breast cancer. The Women’s Breast & Health Center is located on the second floor of Ephraim McDowell Diagnostic Center at 101 Daniel Drive in Danville.
This state-of-the-art facility offers a spa-like environment where patients will enjoy the benefits of private changing rooms, warm robes, and a private locker to secure valuables. Another feature is a tranquility area with plush chairs and a foot rest where patients may enjoy complimentary coffee, tea or water. Services provided are state-of-the-art 3D Tomosynthesis mammograms, bone density analysis and ultrasound. In many cases, test results may be available before patients leave.
The Women’s Breast & Health Center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. With your physician’s order, you can call (859) 239-1282 to schedule an appointment for a mammogram, bone density test or ultrasound of the breast, abdomen, pelvis or thyroid.
