Rhoda Joseph Hacker

1935-2017

Rhoda Joseph Hacker, 81, of Lancaster, KY, our momma, granny, sister, and friend was granted her angel wings on May 16, 2017. Her final days were spent at home surrounded by family and friends. Born on September 16, 1935 in Daley, KY.

She touched many so many in many ways during her memorable life. She gave all of us such courage and hope, and reminded us each of the preciousness of life. Precious memories of her life growing up in the hollers of Leslie County, KY and precious memories of unconditional love for her children and family. She was a member of Dix River Church of Christ.

Rhoda is survived by her loving sister, Ruth Warmouth; three sons, Herman Hacker Jr., Dudley W. Hacker I (Tammy) and Conner Joseph Hacker; two daughters, Nancy Padgett (Rickey I) and Becky Hacker; and numerous grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter; and a special niece Carolyn Craig (Bob).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mitchell and Rebecca Day Joseph, two daughters, Kathy and Mary Hacker, two sisters, and four brothers.

In honors of our momma’s wishes, we welcome you to graveside services which will be held at the Dix River Church of Christ Cemetery on Preachersville Road on Friday, May 19, 2017 at 3 p.m.

Active pallbearers are Junior Hacker (“Bubi”), Rickey Lee Padgett II, David Padgett, Dudley Hacker II, Felix Maggard, and Rickey Lee Padgett III. Honorary pallbearers are all of the grandchildren.
